FLORENCE, Ala. - The hit country band Heartland will make a stop in Florence Oct. 3, just weeks after the debut of its new single, "Mustache." The music video for "Mustache" will debut the week of UNA's Homecoming, Sept. 28.
Heartland's concert will be part of the University of North Alabama's Homecoming tailgate party on Spirit Hill. The performance will begin at 4 p.m., just prior to the UNA Homecoming football game, when the Lions take on Arkansas Tech University. The concert and tailgate party is free and open to the public. For game tickets, contact the UNA ticket office at 256-765-LION. Heartland, which includes former UNA students Craig Anderson (rhythm guitar/vocals) and Todd Anderson (drums), smashed onto the national charts in 2006 with its hit single "I Loved Her First." They were the first country band in 15 years to hit No. 1 with a debut single. Heartland's debut CD zoomed to a No. 3 debut on the Billboard Country Music Chart. It also reached No. 11 on Billboard's All Genre Chart. All five members of the group are natives of north Alabama.About The University of North Alabama
